With the legislation on Corporate Manslaughter and the ethics of Corporate Social
Responsibility, companies now need to focus tightly on risks to both personnel and
company across a broad front. This will range from slips and falls from (quite low)
heights, through unsafe working practices and dangerous machinery, chemical poisoning
via the skin, lungs and ingestion and to the collapse of unsafe structures onto personnel.

Girac Limited normally assesses these types of risks when evaluating environmental
management aspects and systems as they are often the same or complementary. Certainly
there is very little extra cost to clients if the two are merged.

integration has been implemented in companies across China, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland
and has made vast improvements to their safety performance.

As with our Quality services, management systems are made specific to the needs of the
company and the way it wants to work – they are not pre-written boiler-plates which do
little if anything to help company performance and profit. And, the documentation is only
that necessary to meet certification needs, no massive sets of manuals, perhaps only
simple flow diagrams. In with any documented management systems commissioned by clients
Girac Limited will also give a two hours training for free on risk assessment so that the
company can keep it’s system and occurrences under it’s own control.
